How does it work?
YUMILashes are not your typical fake eyelashes, but a keratin lash enhancement. With this procedure, your natural lashes are lifted up, which results in thick lashes that beautiful curve upwards. This creates the universally desired “open eye” look.
How long do the lashes last?
The boosting and lifting effect lasts for 8 to 12 weeks, which is the natural life cycle of the eyelash. The treatment also involves the application of coenzymeQ10 gel pads to the under-eye area, which have anti-aging properties.
How long is the treatment?
The treatment takes about an hour and is very comfortable for the client.
Is the treatment harmful to my natural lashes?
No. There are no false lashes attached or any harmful adhesives used. This innovative treatment works by boosting and lifting each individual lash.
Yumi Lashes last as long as your natural eyelash cycle and they gently drop as your own eyelashes naturally shed, thus causing no damage to your lashes.
What if my lashes are too short?
Elevate recommends using A Lash Growth serum for 1 month before the treatment for optimal results. Grande Lash is an amazing Lash serum sold at Elevate.
How do I take care of my Yumi lashes?
There is no special maintenance involved with Yumi Lashes. We do however recommend using the Yumi keratin serum at home for stronger healthier lashes, in order to maintain a healthy gloss that protects and nourishes your lashes.
Can I wear mascara with Yumi Lashes?
Absolutely. However most people choose not to wear mascara as they feel the effect of the Yumi Lashes is enough to pop the eyes.
How can I prepare for the treatment?
Please do not wear mascara 24-48 hours prior to appointment. Avoid waterproof mascara for Up to a week prior.
We ask you come with no eye makeup on - the cleaner the lashes, the better the lift. We will also ask you to remove contact lenses but you will be able to put them back in immediately after. The treatment is totally painless. You will be asked to keep your eyes closed. Feel free to take a nap - and be ready to spend between and hour and an hour and a half getting the procedure done.
You also can’t get your lashes wet or put on any eye makeup for 48 hours after, so it’s best to come with clean hair, so you can avoid washing your hair (and thus avoid water on the eyes) for the next two days, and plan around any events where you’d want to wear eye makeup.
